What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a tool used to help individuals interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts to overcome social, medical, and psychological barriers to highlight the lived experience and effect positive change.  Art therapy makes it possible to work on emotional conflicts, from their revelation to their management.

Overview of Sessions

01

Art Therapy Individual Sessions

Single and recurring individual art therapy sessions focus on the needs of the participant for growth and healing by using art to explore emotions, conflicts, feelings, and resolutions.

02

Art Therapy Group Events

Specifically geared toward a group of persons with the same trauma or issues.  The event specifically focuses the group toward healing, or allowing a new perspective on their current and past issues.

03

No Talent Required

It is not necessary for a client to think of themselves as creative or artistic to benefit from Art Therapy. It is to guide a client through expressing themselves through art, finding perspective and enlightenment from within.

What are the benefits?

Stress Relief

Engaging in artistic activities can significantly reduce stress and anxiety levels, promoting relaxation and mental well-being.

Self-Discovery

Through art, individuals can explore their inner thoughts and experiences, leading to greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Emotional Expression

Art therapy provides a safe space for individuals to express their emotions creatively, helping to process feelings that might be difficult to articulate with words.

Enhanced Communication

Art therapy can improve communication skills, especially for those who find verbal expression challenging, fostering better relationships and understanding.
